From Kalahatti falls we went to Kemangundi. Kemangundi is a beautiful hill station (Chikmagalur District, Karnataka) about 65 kms from Chikmagalur, 120 kms from Hassan, 70 kms from Shimoga and 250 kms from Bangalore. It is located high on KR hills (Baba Budan range of mountains) at an altitude of 1450 meters. The place is covered with tea and coffee plantations and dence forest. There are lovely places to move around including Hill station garden, Raj Bhavan, Z point, Rock garden, Hebbe falls, Shanti falls. We enjoyed the beautiful climate and landscape there. We could not visit the waterfalls, as the trekking path was full of leaches.
