Picnic in Muthyal Maduvu Waterfall

Muthyal Maduvu is about 50 kms from Bangalore. One has to go upto Banerghata and take a left turn to go towards Anekal and then take a right turn to go to Muthyal Maduvu. There is a KSTDC Restaurant (Mayura Nisarga) on the top. As the fall is there below, one has to climb down the hill in order to reach there. At the bottom there is a temple of Lord Muthaleswar which is a name of Lord Shiva. The waterfall is narrow and there is generally less water even in rainy seasons. However, people still enjoy bathing in the fall. We explored the hills and forest area of Muthyal Maduvu which was quite thrilling and adventurous..

There is a temple of Lord Muthaleswar (Lord Shiva) near the waterfall. The waterfall is narrow and generally contains less water . However, people still enjoy to bath in the fall. There were a large number of monkeys around who snatched out food packets. As I was very hungry I managed to make friendship with them and had my lunch by sharing with them. There were large area of forests. It was quite adventurous to explore the hills and forest area of Muthyal Maduvu. After spending the day there we left the place around 5.30 in the afternoon.
