Amaravati is a small town about 50 kms from Vijaywada in the
Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Amaravati is famous for the temple of Lord
Amareswar and the Buddhist monuments. I have shown Amareshwar temple in a
separate video. This video shows Amaravati Stupa, Buddhist museum, Giant Buddha
statue etc. The Buddha statue is about 150 feet tall. The construction of the
main statue was complete while the painting and finishing work was pending.
