Gigantic Statue of Bahubali Gomateswar in Sravana Belagola- Part2

You have seen the views of the temples and sorroundings
while climbing Bindhyagiri in the first part of the video. This part will show
you the 58 feet statue of Bahubali, 24 teerthankaras around the statue, Chennanna
basti and the beautiful views of the Bindhyagiri hill.

Sravana belagola is about 150 kms from Bangalore. It is a
prominent Jain piligrim center. It is famous for the 58 feet tall monolythic statue
of Bhagavan Bahubali Gomateswar. This statue of Bahubali is the tallest statue
of Asia.

There are two hills in Sravana belagola, one is big
(Doddabetta) called Bindhyagiri and another is small (Chikka betta) called
Chandragiri. The huge statue of Bahubali is there on Bindhyagiri hills.

It was a great satisfaction to visit the image of Bhagavan
Bahubali. It was my fourth visit and Mom’s third visit to Sravan Belagola.
While coming down from the hill, we saw Chennanna Basti, which consists of
several broken temples and stone structures. The views from the hill were
mesmerising. We could see the temple tank “Kalyani”, the small hill
“Chandragiri” and Sravan Belagola township from the top. Visiting Sravan
Belagola will always remain memorable for us.
