Amareswar temple is the most famous temple in Amaravati. Amaravati
is about 50 Kms from Vijaywada. From Vijaywada we went to Amaravati by bus
which took us about 2 hours. Amareswar temple is very close to Amaravati bus
stop (about one Km). The temple is located by the side of river Krishna. It is
one of the five most popular Shiva temples in Andhra Pradesh. The area of the
temple campus is very large. While the main temple of Lord Amareswar is located
at the center there are many more temple located at all four sides. My mom was
also with me and she was very happy to visit the holy shrine. We also went to
the banks of river Krishna which is just about 100 meters from the temple. It
was a great spiritual satisfaction to visit Amareswar temple in Amaravati.
