Big Bull (Dodda Vasavana) Temple in Bangalore

Bull temple (Dodda=Big, Vasavana=Bull) is one of the oldest temples and important tourist attractions in Bangalore. The main deity of the temple is Nandi or Bull. The statue of Nandi is a huge monolithic statue made of a single store. The statue is 4.5 meters height and 6 meters long. Photography is allowed inside the temple. In this video you can see the outside and inside view of the temple and how the statue of bull is beautifully decorated with flowers.

Apart from the bull temple, there are other temples in the same campus like Doddha Ganapati Temple, Shiva temple, Hanuman temple etc. in the same premises. There is also a beautiful Shiva linga in the Valmiki Ashram near Hanuman temple. There is a huge garden behind the Bull temple which is called as Buggle Rock Garden.
