Lord Manjunatha Temple in Dharmasthala

Dharmasthala is located on Western Ghat mountains on the
banks of river Netravati. Dharmasthala is a pilgrim center both for Hindus and
Jains. It is probably the most popular and most commonly visited pilgrim center
in Karnataka. It is famous for Lord Manjunath temple (Lord Shiva), Chandranatha
Temple (Jain Teerthankara) and statue of Lord Bahubali (Jain Saint). There is
no architectural attraction in Manjunath temple, No stone work, no sculpture.
It is a religious place. The most important attraction is God and large number
of devotees everywhere. People come here to see Lord Manjunath. It is similar
to Tirupati temple in Andhra. You have to stand for 3 to 4 hours in the queue
to have darshan of Lord Manjunath.

There are many large guest houses built and managed by the
temple trust. The devotees are allowed to stay in the guest house at
concessional rate (we paid only Rs 50/- during that time). But you are allowed
to stay only for one day. You cannot extend your halt in the guest house for
whatever reason. But you can try your luck in another guest house. Every
devotee is given free lunch and free dinner in Dharmasthala. More than 20
thousand people in the morning and 20 thousand people in the evening take free
lunch and dinner here on every day. You can see many other interesting stuff
from this video and my other videos on Dharmasthala.

However there are many interesting things in Dharmasthala. You
can see Manjunath temple, Guest houses, Manjusha Museum, Annappa Betta etc. in
this video. Other attractions like Netravati river, Chandranath temple,
Bahubali Vihar, Annapoorna Dining hall, Mechanized kitchen and Sri Rama temple
are shown in separate videos.
