We stayed in Kedarnath for one night and started our return journey on the next morning. Mom came by a palki carried by four people and we came by ponies. Return journey was much faster than climbing. It was a 14 km route though Himalayan mountains. We started our trekking at 7 o’clock to return back. We reached back Gourikunda by 11 o’clock. Climbing down was faster than climbing up. This was a great trip and an unforgettable memory. We enjoyed mountain views and waterfalls on the way.
Visiting Kedarnath at a hight of 3585 meters above sea level was a great experience. As per the legend, the temple was built by the Pandavas after the Mahabharat war. Kedarnath is regarded as one of the 12 jyotirlingas. The place was extremely beautiful with snowy mountain views.
