Trekking to Charan Paduka (Part2 of 2)

We climbed steep upto Hanuman Gupha. Hanuman Gupha is a Natural cave on the mountain which was painted in red color. Then we took a turn to go towards Charana Paduka. The journey was really thrilling, as you can see in the video. Charana Paduka is the foot print of lord Badrinath on a large stone on the hills. As per the legend the footprints were made when Lord Badrinath came from Tholing Math to Badrikashram. The footprints are located on the mountains at an altitude of 3300 meters above sea level.

While climbing to Charan Paduka we could see the views of Badrinath township from the mountain, which was looking very attractive. The place was full of clouds and the visibility was very less. It was not possible to view anything beyond a few meters.

Climbing down was much easier. While it took about two hours to climb up, it took just half an hour to climb down. Mom was waiting for us in Barphani baba ashram. We picked her up on the way and returned back to Badrinath. It was a great exploration on Himalayas on our Badrinath trip.
