Channa Keshav Temple in Somanathpura

Somanathpura is about 40 kms from Mysore and 160 kms from Bangalore. It is famous for Chennakeshava Temple, one of the finest master pieces of Hoysala Architecture. The temple is a trikutachala (a three celled structure), with the three sanctums or shrines connected by a vestibule. The temple is in the care of the Archaeological Survey of India as a protected heritage site. People going to Talakadu or Sivasamudra often visit this temple on the same trip.
