Garudeswar and Ramachandi Temples (near Konark)

From Beleswar we proceeded towards Ramachandi. On the way we halted at Garudeswar temple which is located by the side of the marine drive road. Garudeswar temple is a shiva temple. You can see the huge bull statue which is recently built near Garudeswar temple. From there we went to Ramachandi. Ramachandi is famous for Ramachandi temple. The temple is situated at the place where river Kushabhadra meets Bay of Bengal.
Ramachandi is a very popular picnic spot about 30 kms from Puri on Puri-Konark marine drive. There are several attractions like (i) Ramachandi temple, (ii) the river, (iii) the sea, (iv) the forest and beautiful views. After visiting the temple we took at lunch at this picnic spot. We had brought our lunch from home. It was a great experience to had family picnic at this religious place. It was sea beach just two hundred meters behind the temple. We enjoyed sea beach for half an hour. We could not stay long as we had to visit the sun temple at Konark on the same day.
