Banapur is just 5 kms from Balugaon. It is famous for Bhagavati temple. Bhagavati is one of the 12 important devit temples of Orissa. After visiting Kalijai we went to visit the Bhagavati temple of Banapur. It was a great day and we had nice darshan of Goddess Bhagavati. We also bought some Prasad from the temple.
On our way back to Bhubaneswar we halted at Ugratara. Ugratara is about 50 kms from Banapur and about 60 kms from Bhubaneswar. You have to take a 3kms diversion fro the Bhubaneswar Berhampur National highway. Ugratara is another Shakti temple famous for her fierce aspect. But it is believed that she is benevolent to the devotees. It had become evening and dark outside. But there was ample light inside the temple.
