Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple is the most famous Subrahmanya temple in Karnataka. It is about 100 kms from Mangalore and about 290 kms from Bangalore. While going from Bangalore it is on the same route as Dharmasthala. Subrahmanya is another name of Lord Kartikeya. People having sarpadosha worship in this temple to get rid of sarpadosha.
There are many guest houses of the temple. We stayed in one of the Guest Houses named “Kartikeya Krupa”. Thousands of devotees are given free Prasad (both lunch and dinner) here in this temple. There is a river known as Kumardhara River near Kukke Sri Subrahmanya temple where people take bath before going to have darshan of Lord Subrahmanya.
