Goravanahalli Mahalaxmi temple and Teetha Reservoir

Goravanahalli is about 85 kms from Bangalore and famous for the Mahalaxmi temple. Hundreds of devotees are given free lunch there on every day. The queue for darshan of the deity was very long (more than one hour). Tuesdays and Fridays are celebrated as special pooja days. Apart from the main temple there were Renukamba temple, Anjaneya temple, Navagraha temple, Ranganath temple etc. near the main temple. After visiting the temple we went to Teetha reservoir and dam. There was not much of water in the reservoir. But when we went onto the bridge it was really enjoyable to see the views around from that height.
